Our story

A stand against disposable fashion.

Engineered to reduce our impact on the planet.

30 Year Clothing was founded in 2014 with a single, awkward question: what would happen if a sweatshirt came with a guarantee long enough to outlast a mortgage? The answer became The 30 Year™ Sweatshirt — and a brand built around the idea that the most radical thing fashion can do is make something nobody needs to replace.

Fashion is one of the world's most polluting industries. We don't pretend a sweatshirt can fix that. But we can refuse planned obsolescence. We can pay our makers properly. We can use certified organic cotton, low-impact dyes, and renewable-powered mills. And we can put our money behind the things we sell — by mending them, free of charge, for the next thirty years.

More than ten years on, the work is the same. Heavyweight 300gsm loopback jersey, knitted from GOTS-certified organic cotton grown in Gujarat and finished in Tamil Nadu, where dye-water is filtered through a closed-loop system clean enough to drink. Printed on demand in a renewable-powered UK factory, then returned to our repair workshop whenever something gives. Worn, by now, by tens of thousands of people — and a story the press keeps finding new reasons to tell.

Buy less. Buy better.
